When I was young, I feel a bit proud every time I introduced my name to a person. I think it was only because I like how it sounds. My name is Jillian. It’s neither too long nor too short, neither too common nor too complex to pronounce. Just the right name. I later learned that my name implies a jubilant person which, somehow I think, close to reality.
Moving on, I learned how to ride a bike at the age of nine. We (that is to say, my cousins, friends and I) used to go to school by riding our bike (in my case, that is stealing my older brother’s bike). Since our school was just (in my vague calculation) one kilometer away (or less than that) from our house, walking is always an option but we prefer to ride a bike just so we could race and put on bets who will go first or (as always in my case) last. To lift my pride that time, I’d just say I’m a careful driver.
I am 20 years old and I’m from the Philippines.
Those who knew me well might say that I’m a Bookworm because I read a lot of books. Really. But I find the term itself (bookworm) quite disturbing (as in bookworm? That creepy creature that eats papers or pages of book? Definitely not) so I prefer to be called a Book-Lover instead.
Some of my favorite books were the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling( I’ve read the book like a hundred times but for some reason, I never got the time to watch the movie adaptation completely. ), The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho (up until now I can still remember how that particular novel changed my way of thinking on my first year in college ) and Dear John by Nicholas Sparks ( this is my favorite among the Nicholas Sparks novels that I’ve read! ). I decided to provide three at least because if I will include all my favorite books, that will bore you a lot ( including me as well ).
What else should I say? I like 2NE1 a lot, I look at them as musicians not idols because they’re songs are fantastic and they’re live performances are always superb. I watched Naruto regularly and have always imagined myself doing kage bunshin no jutsu so I can finish all I needed to do every day. Seems like one Jillian is never enough for a day’s work.
I think, that’s all you should know for now. Any questions, comments or suggestions? Feel free to contact me and I will do my best to respond.
Thanks for reading!
